Twice we have had issues with this company and in particular what they view as their obligations to their customers. First time was when we bought a scooter from them for our son. It nearly killed him at a roundabout and kept pumping out petrol. Finally, after threatening legal action they refunded. Now my wife called them to check stock availability of a table saw. Was told they had one in stock. It was the floor display, which I had to take apart at the store! No discount. Anyway, get it home. Instruction manual is no use what so ever. A couple of pictures. Phoned them up and the same person that dealt with the scooter issue tells my wife that it should 'go back together the way it came apart'. He kept saying it. He was told that it didn't, the screws would not fix but he kept saying the same thing. Patronizing and rude, which in turn made my wife loose her temper. She asked to speak to someone else but that person would not put anyone else on the line. My advice? DO NOT TOUCH. Go to Bunnings, Mitre10, TM, anywhere but here.

P.S Tried to post this with no starts but wasn't able to.

Good for simple tools. Fantastic selection of hand tools for basic work hammers, saws, knives etc. Wouldn't get anything complicated like power tools though.

Should have read the bad feedback below before purchasing from these guys. If you’re looking for friendly staff and good customer service and support you won’t get it here and if you have an intermittent problem with a product that you purchased from them then take it back to get it check and they can’t find the problem they will charge you $50+GST for the service and you will be stuck with a faulty product as I was. A good deterrent to prevent customers returning faulty goods. Warehouse management have a mindset that if you’re having a problem with one of their products then you’re doing something wrong and it’s not there problem. Will never purchase from these guys again.

I went in the Timaru store today after not going in for months. Well all I can say is they sorted it out! The staff in there are now great to deal with really friendly and willing to go out of their way to help. I am glad there are new staff as I will frequent this place often as they have really good quality stuff

Used their website last week. It was very easy to purchase something and 2 days later I had my splitter. Have put it together and must say value for money is an understatement. I even had trouble assembling but the guys in the shop helped me out. Thanks, I will be back when I need a new chainsaw :D

Purchased some oversize drill bits, Complete rubbish with one drill bit untwisting the flutes and another wearing the edges off. Attempted to return and was told steel I was drilling must of been to hard.
Refused to take back for credit.

Had the same experience as Cam Holman. Would advise any future customers to avoid this company if they expect anything close to decent service. They are not interested in supporting customers or the quality of their products - just making sales. Once they have the money, they rapidly lose interest in customer satisfaction. Would not recommend them to ANYONE as they seem unable to follow up anything they say they'll do.

I have changed this review. Their sales staff are still sadly lacking in customer focus. However the two mechanics sent out to repair my son's scooter were delightful. I would suggest that they give these men the job of speaking with customers. If I could rate these men it would be a five. If I were to rate the sales staff it would be a generous 1. Averaged it out to be fair.
