We had a most delicious lunch at The Lake House a couple of weeks ago. We were very impressed by the quality of the food, the presentation and the service. What really blew us away was the meal our daughter had. It was from the kids' menu (in some establishments, not much effort goes into these!). Her food was absolutely gourmet!. She had the burger (a special bun) which had a really tasty home-made patty (I'd love the recipe) and lots of nice other layers in it. The chips were astounding - apparently they get them in from the US - a specially cut variety with the Lake House's lovely way of cooking them. I hope this Restaurant does well - they absolutely deserve to!

Terrible service - rude wait staff who demanded an order as soon as the menu was placed in front of diners and then hovered to clear plates making diners feel rushed. The food came out cold and soggy, glasses had lip prints on them and water bottles had a strange orange substance dotted on the inside. A terrible dining experience for lunch.
