Twice within the last 3 months i have gone to them to sort out my puncture and twice they have told me 'we are too busy', 'our other stores are also too busy', 'take your tyre off and we will fix it and give it back the next day' or 'come at 7am to sort ot out'.crap customer service, even a complaint to their South Island General Manager wasnt enough for them to change their ways..churrr

Over the weekend I unfortunatley got a puncture and took the tyre for repair
I must say I was overly pleased with the service I received from the staff at Papanui
there were polite and very helpful. I will certainly broadcast my satisfaction

Several days ago I obtained a favourable online quote for tyres from Tony's Tyre Service. I subsequently made an appointment as recommended. It was to have been at 11a.m. today. I arrived at 12 Harewood Road at 1055 to find that all service bays were in use or closed of with a barrier strand. The forecourt was packed with vehicles. I parked neareby and went to the reception area as the signage requested. In the waiting area were I think about 12 people. I was logically number 13. There appeared to be only one person on hand to deal with us all. He was busy with a customer. After standing waiting for close to 15 minutes with noone even acknowledging my presence, or indeed that of others in the line ahead of me, I left. . It gets worse. Later in the morning I went to the Blenheim Road branch of Tony's Tyre service. I parked at the rear of the workshop [there is a sign indicating that this is where I should go] intending to go in and see if they could supply. An overalled woman emerged from the workshop and said loudly "you can't park there". When I asked why not she replied "that's where we park the finished jobs, GO AROUND THE FRONT". I did, and kept on driving back to Temuka which is where I had driven from in the morning." If someone was now to ask me about my dealings with Tony's Tyre Service I would have to say that the Company is incorrectly named. The word "SERVICE" is totally inappropriate. Murray Charlesworth.
