Clean, well equipped room. Friendly staff. Room was unfortunately a little noisy in the morning.

My wife and I have enjoyed several meals at the gorge and have always had a wonderful experience in terms of cuisine and service the food here he's probably some of them most tasteful and beautifully presented I have experienced in Christchurch

Love visiting The George on a weekly basis! Rooms are very Beautiful, and the views of the park are breathtaking with very nice conference rooms. The staff always go the extra mile!!

Best accommodation I've ever stayed at. There is nothing I csn fault. Amazing friendly staff, the room I stayed in had every mod con. The bed was so comfy, automated blinds and lighting, and a toilet with more smarts than my iphone. The George bear was a lovely gift, and as it was our honeymoon we received a plate of macaroons. Was not expecting any of this. I will definitely be back!

For a so called top restaurant it was disapionting.Service was slow and inattentive.Fish was not fresh but frozen and thawed.50 Bistro much better

Has the reputation of being the best in town and deserves it (what is OK for the PM and the All Blacks is good enough for me!). Helpful, friendly staff, good food and superb rooms in an ideal location.

Unfortunately two fire alarm evacuations in one day due to earthquake damage issues that haven't been addressed, and managements response was to offer a free drink Not five star, sadly, as a hotel, although the staff were lovely.

Very comfortable hotel, they have a complementary laundry room so that's great after a long time traveling. Big beds, nice rooms.

Super nice hotel with a great central location. Right next to the park and the botanical garden which was great. Staff was super friendly and accommodation was very comfortable.

Arrival was greated with lots of help and friendly and helpful staff, departure not as much.
Room was clean and modern, but bed was not as comfortable as had expected.
$50 credit card deposit takes 5-7 days to refund which is a little cheeky.
