Male receptionist was fairly uninterested in booking us in, as he was eating something; went to the room to find one king size bed and a child's bed - I had booked twin single - went back to reception to ask if we had been given the right room - to be told that's what we had been given and the beds couldn't be separated.. strange as it was clearly two twin singles pushed together with king bedding on, the bedding was fresh and clean - however this did not assist in sleeping as there was an insistent loud droning that was only interspersed by the droning changing to a resonating sound at regular intervals- I can only assume we was close to the air conditioning system on the roof?.. Would not stay here again, and would not recommend it to anyone.

Nice spot, well sized and tidy rooms. Staff are friendly and there is also a convenience store and restaurants right next door.

Described as luxury accommodation I think this is misleading. I was lucky enough to be booked into a king executive room by my company but service was average the room and common areas a bit grimy and dirty, some faint smoke smell, very noisy being next to a major intersection plus walls and ceiling very thing and noise travels from rooms above and next door. Bed mattress was not flat and had depressions.

Absolutely appalled at the service myself and two others received while staying at Parkside on Hagley last night.
The receptionist there was rude and blunt as soon as we arrived. We were given three keys, all of which didn't work when we tried getting in last night. We had to call and get a man to come and let us into our room. As soon as he came upstairs he immediately blamed us for the keys not working.
The shower had mold and black hairs on the floor, which is not hygienic.
This morning when we checked out, the young receptionist told us that she had undercharged us for our stay. The amount we were charged initially was the amount we were quoted when we called earlier this week and spoke with Liz. The way the young receptionist went about asking us for the money was very rude as she argued with us about the issue, to which she ended the argument with, whatever'. This we found incredibly petty.
I would not recommend staying at Parkview on Hagley to anyone. The staff need a serious attitude adjustment and the place was not clean. We have been left bitterly disappointed.response / report this review -

Nice rooms, especially the ones overlooking the park. Decent size too. There is a bar and restaurant downstairs, a dairy just down the road and plenty of parking.
