By far the best meal I've had in a restaurant since I can remember, the food was superb, staff were amazing and the prices far cheaper than they should be

We had dinner there last night before the long drive home and immediately wished we had decided to stay the night and really enjoy this wonderful venue. The food was a 10, the beverages were a great choice across the board and the staff were all exemplary. If I could I would score it an 18 out of 10 and can't wait to get back and will recommend it to all our friends and guests.

We went here for dinner on the recommendation from where we were staying and I agree it was absolutely marvellous. The meal was superb and the staff were awesome and so helpful

Nz dining at its best. Good food. Good service. Good wine list that compliments the menu very well. It's one the best kept secrets of Taupo I feel. That Rosé is one of the finest I have had in a while. A great little fireplace at the front to enjoy the wine after dinner as well.

Fabulous honey glazed baby carrot salad & date, juicy eye fillet steak with truffle cream and pea purée and the most decadent chocolate salted caramel tart! The staff were very helpful and courteous.

Staff were very professional and were attentive when needed.
Food was excellent, some of the best food I've enjoyed. I ordered the fish croquette, lamb, and brulee and they were all amazing. Presentation was on point.
Without being very nit picky its hard to fault any of their food/service. The roast potatoes were about a 3/5 as they were slightly hard for my liking and under seasoned. and lemonade 2.5/5 as It was slightly watery/budget (I'd suggest the use franks lemonade or similar ;)). But that's being VERY nit picky.
Highly recommend this place if you're ever around the Taupo region.response / report this review -

The beef and lamb were incredible. Unfortunately the service was subpar. We ended up waiting close to an hour for dessert after service confusion and then being charged the wrong amount twice. Disappointing way to end an excellent meal.

Lovely spot for a nice dinner in Taupo. All our 6 plates were good to great and we had a nice bottle of bottle of wine from their solid list.
