This restaurant is set in the old council chambers building. Service was very friendly and the meal was excellent and presented well. Restaurant was clean and tables nicely set. Worth a visit if you like Indian food.
Great food and open late. Excellent, friendly service. Avoid the fish curry if you're looking for freshly caught fish.
I went in for the lunch special. Great value for a good sized lunch. The food was prepared well with a nice zing to it.
Looking over the menu, I found very reasonable pricing for the other service times, with a good variety of dishes from all over India.
The Drinks menu was ample a good range of wines in stock, a variety of bottled beers, and spirits, both general bar and top shelf choices.
There is also a good selection of non-alcoholic beverages.
There is plenty of space for a large group bookings, and the bathroom facilities were clean.
A wheelchair access ramp was available at the front entrance.
The service was great and the atmosphere was casual.
Very slow service and inattention to details. My husband ordered a medium spicy beef madras but it was served mild.It took about an hour for them to serve the mains when the place did not even have many customers when we arrived. We should have taken that as a sign. You have a feeling that the staff couln't care less how their service was, they didn't bother to ask. On the positive side food was tasty. Either that or we were already too hungry by the time the mains was served that we did not care anymore.
Food is good. Be aware it is kiwi hot
not Indian hot so if you like your curries hit ask for it. $10 lunch special is excellent value and ample. Nice.pleasant young waitress.
