The old manager is horrible. The entire management is really bad here. The food is also only mediocre. They are quite stingy on their portions, especially rice. They initially give a pathetic bowl of rice and charge extra when you ask for more. They also don't know the meaning of spice, how to control spice level for customers. And the food comes stale sometimes. Yucks! They keep their rice for many days and keep serving that stale rice, especially the Biryani rice. Disgusting!

Good place for student deals. Not very authentic Indian food though. Handy for Uni students at times. I like their lunch and student take away deals

A very nice Indian restaurant, though there are better alternatives out there. I ordered the chicken vindaloo which in itself, is a challenging dish to prepare however Tandori Palace managed to pull off an adequate culinary skill in making. The sauce was spicy, but sweet at the appropriate level and held a reasonable amount of flavor while being spicy. However, the issue I had with this was there was not an adequate ratio of chicken to sauce, leaving the sad pieces of chicken(which was tender and well cooked) in a large amount of sauce. The rice was fairly standard, but a fairly generous serving which when combined with the sauce, held together well and at a good ratio. As for the Bhaji, they were something commendable with the nice crispy coating on the outside while keeping moisture within, which is a admirable feat when preparing onion Bhaji, many Indian restaurants fall short of this and end up drying them out too much or having them soaked in oil, which Tandori Palace did not. The icing on the cake of my meal was what stood out to me the most. The Naan. I ordered a cheese and garlic naan which was cooked to perfection, there were no burnt edges, no ocean of oil, just goodness. With evenly distributed garlic and a bread stuffed with cheese and herbs, I was delighted at the taste of such a naan. However, where Tandori Palace fell short again were the portion size. The naan I ordered was considerably smaller than most other Indian restaurants which came again as a disappointment and the reason I gave this place 3 stars. Overall would recommend to people looking for a Indian takeaway

Today I had a butter chicken for their lunch special, very good value for $12 but I felt maybe a but more rice to go with the curry would have good.

Delicious food and friendly service. Butter chicken is consistently awesome. Great value combos, lunch deals, and the banquet is hard to beat for 2 or more.

Had butter chicken again tonight. They have changed the sauce that comes with it. It is crap . Used to be a reddish colour. It's now disgusting. Platter was on but chicken overcooked. Very disappointed. Changed to a 1. Won't be going back unless they change the crap sauce.

Amazing Indian food in whole New Zealand. Even Auckland doesn't have proper authentic Indian food. Chicken keema and roti are too good.

I had meals 4 times I feel they add far too much salt in there dishes and especially the chess naan though the curry was good but because of too much salt we couldn't eat
