Charged $120 for one x-ray which took less than 5 minutes. Said seem like a problem that he's not comfortable to deal with. Told would be referred to a specialist that would cost more than $1000 because he doesn't think he can do it, no one contacted me for two weeks. I Sent X-Ray to my dentist in Auckland and dentist with a smile ( 10 Lincoln road ) and both told me it seem normal and shouldn't need to go to a specialist. Dentist with a smile gave me a FREE X-Ray just to see what's happening. Quotes me $400 for the root canal as I already had the first part done. Would recommend everyone to go to dentist with a smile on Lincoln road instead.

Absolutely flawless. It was my second visit at Sydenham dentist today and I cannot be more satisfied. I am probably worst person ever in dentists chair (strong gag reflex,etc.) but have to say Dr. Wei Ping is amazing, patient, nice, professional and understanding. You will like this place even if you're scared of dentists like I am.

Excellent service. Went here today, first visit to a dentist in 10 years (I know, pretty bad), and had a broken tooth removed. Mouth has been sore for weeks. I was in for less than half an hour, some small-talk to relax my nerves, given anesthetic, and tooth removed in that time. The dentist and assistant made me feel very calm and relaxed and assured me that it's never too late. I'm a typical tradie, lots of cuts, bruises and scars, never worried too much about health, and love a cold beer, but they helped me feel relaxed and comfortable, and give me some fresh hope. If you're nervous about visiting a dentist because it's been awhile, then go here, no need to live in pain or discomfort when a dentist can sort it in less than half an hour. Excellent dentists!

I have found Peter and his team at Sydenham dental to be caring and helpful. They always give me my options for treatment and help me make the best decision for my dental care. His hygienists Amy and Vicky are really caring and gentle and keep me nice and healthy and tell me how I can improve my cleaning regimen at home to get the optimum results. They don't ask me to do anything that they don't do themselves. So if you are looking for a friendly and experienced team these are the guys to go to. I can't recommend them enough. Keep up the good work!

I am a 59 year old semi-retired engineer. I have had significant dental health problems through the years, and have been treated by various dental health professionals over the years here in Christchurch. Of them all I would rank the staff at Sydenham Dental Centre, and Senior Dentist Peter Pallet in particular the best of all. Courteous, obliging and above all completely professional, always willing to discuss treatment options and caring in all pain management issues. Although perhaps not the cheapest, they certainly are not the most expensive. And some years ago when I was a bit short of funds Peter detected this, and without actually saying so gave me something of a discount for the urgently needed treatment, and granted me a monthly plan of payment. And most recently I was able to talk Peter into attempting a root canal treatment ( a specialty of his) that he was initially reluctant to do because of its obvious difficulty. And he was able to do it completely well, and to my satisfaction. So all in all the best dental treatment centre I have tried. Mike Jasper, B.E (Mech) Canterbury

Sydenham Dental have been my dentist for the following 8 years. Peter and the team run an excellent dental practise - always friendly and accommodating. Peter is highly experienced and very competent. His pricing is always fair. Strongly recommend Sydenham Dental. Keep Smiling.

I purchased a voucher as I just lost a filling. This was truly one of the most satisfying customer service experiences I have ever had. The team here are very professional but relaxed and couldn't do enough to look after me. Even suggesting revisiting an old ACC claim that allowed me to fix a visual issue on a front capped tooth at minimal cost. The change was amazing and my previous dentist had never mentioned this option. The filling replacement was of a very high standard but overall I felt I couldn't have chosen a better dentist. Plus the cost was far less than I have paid before. Great work to the team. I have already referred several of my friends and couldn't rate them highly enough.
