Delicious mains and decadant naughty desserts. Love to sit next to the window and look across to Harley park. Strawberry fare has an upmarket feel but is relatively inexpensive considering the caliber of the food. I have been at least five times and I am yet to be let down.

I took my sister there while she was on holiday here from Australia and we both loved it! We were the only ones in there, the waiter was very attentive, poured us some water and gave us the perfect amount of time to decide.
I got a hot chocolate which I have to say wasn't the best, but the chocolate pate was easily the best desert I've had, hands down. The flavours were beautiful and it was very filling too! Absolutely top notch.
    Quality. I'll be back!

Amazing eatery. Have only been here for dessert so far which was very tasty. Cannot fault, is a great restaurant from the service down to the interior. Highly recommend if you're in Christchurch

Cannot fault this restaurant. Took my son with his 5 yr old brother for his birthday for dessert. The two ladies who were serving were so lovely. They provided colouring for my 5 year old, made a fuss of my 12 year old and generally just provided excellent customer service. The food isn't cheap but utterly worth it. Dress smart, this is not a jeans and trainers establishment. Also providing you call and they're not too busy you can order their desserts to take away. Great for date nights at home.

Friendly waitresses with nice food. Came during a weekday and there were not many tables filled. Just lovely.

Had the cassoulet which is mainly lentils and a couple beans. And it's very salty but tasty. Just needs to be perfected a little bit.
Otherwise nice restaurant will come back to try the desserts.

Every Christchurch local knows what a great place Strawberry Fare is for dinner and dessert. But came here for brunch on a Sunday to find it almost deserted. A nice change from fighting for a table at the city's more well known brunch cafes. The brunch menu is broad and the food competitive up there with the best.

No chicken on the menu so was a little gutted. Would be great if they had a bit more kids meal options. Dessert was OK. . But that's probably just what I ordered. . Definitely wasn't worth the $200 we spent on meals and desserts for 2 adults and a child.
Parking was a big issue. Not much parking at all. Staff were lovely.

Rung Strawberry Fare at 9.45 on a Friday night asking if it would too late to come in. "No, not at all." We arrived just after 10 to a half-full restaurant and surly waitresses. I ordered a blue cheese (one type of cheese) platter off the dessert menu as we were told that at this time of night it was dessert menu only. I was told, "No you can't have cheese and crackers as the kitchen is closed. You need to order a dessert or nothing." What a joke! How can it be harder to slice a wedge of cheese than a wedge of cheesecake? No cooking is involved with the cheese plate - but hot desserts were still on offer. I guess the hot desserts were going to be shoved in the microwave as the kitchen was closed? We left and we won't ever be back. This used to be a great restaurant. Not any more.

Cutlery and glasses where dirty at the first table we sat at.. was not cool.
When we got our water pitcher the water was not cold.
Decor is a little worn out.

Eggs benidict were good, could have used a bit of salad with it but no big deal.
My friend got blueberry pancakes and enjoyed them.

    Service was fantastic.

All in all was a very average experience,
    Unlikely I will go back.

Strawberry fare was recommended to us as a good place to get breakfast in Christchurch. Food was great and the staff really friendly and helpful. I can recommend Strawberry Fare as a great option for breakfast.
