Beautiful meal right from the first mouthfuls of tender stuffed chicken crunch geenz whipped spud to the very last mouth full of pudding apple pie absolute pleasure I no good tucker this place Southland cooking priceless yum thank you will be back for sure .awesome staff may I add delightful presence good to see new generation in a place of Invercargill history hunk of land the Southland pub it changed over years .but still flowing Southland wayz gooood fooood.

Amazing food and great selection of beer that comes in HUGE glasses but had a hard time understanding waitresses. The English they speak in New Zealand is the furthest thing from English I've ever heard. If you know your customers are from America don't speak so fast that we can't understand you. My wife and I both ordered some type of burger but instead they brought us both some type of chicken sandwich. When I asked the waitress, "What the hell?" she replied back "Lu dee burger mate, n' dee chuck. Havin the wizzels n crisps fer ya now!" I said, "Uhsure!"

Went to the bar side as dining solo and quite late after a brief work trip. Service was adequate. Beer selection typically Southland (good staples like Speights) but no craft beers. Nice decor and bar layout. Ordered the chicken burger and chips, very tasty meal and big serving size (didn't finish which never happens).

Came here because it was walking distance bit pleasantly surprised. Drop by.
