It looks great. The prices are good too. The sky channels dont work all that much but the see view is great. It has a special glass walled porch which keeps out the cold wind but lets you enjoy the view of the ocean. Its great for 1 or two night stays.

Basic old-school motel on the beautiful Kaikoura sea side road. The staff were very accommodating and the rooms clean. Do yourself a favor and splurge for the upstairs suite (the view is worth it).

The town is recovering from the recent earthquake and the seabed has uplifted, this the famous seals are less common in the shore line. Dear not they are still around and only a short drive from this hotel.

Also some surfing spots have developed since the earthquake which are walking distance from the hotel as well.

Yes, the building is old, but new owners have updated beautifully. I loved staying here. Roger and Trish were kind, considerate, and accommodating. They did everything they could to make my stay comfortable. Great view of the coastline and mountains right outside the huge wrap-around window. I would absolutely, definitely stay here again.
