Salt restaurant is one of the best restaurants in New Plymouth. I always take me special guests there! Love the food and the atmosphere! Excellent staff!

A wonderful evening meal for three. We had superb, attentive and thoughtful service and the food was beautifully presented and delicious. Drinks service was excellent too. The only hint don't press too hard to know why your guests are there? Not everyone goes for a meal to celebrate! (We were together because of a family bereavement and just wanted a quiet time to talk.) Top marks to Dylan for his amazing customer care.

The waiters were friendly the view great but the food was not hot enough. The cool vegetables were also over cooked and the steak I had was small and filled out by a poor selection of extras. The price was expensive. The meal was not up to the price charged

I am in heaven after enjoying the 5 course meals with matching wines at the Salt Restaurant. The food was delicious and perfectly matched to the wine. As a non wine drinker I was pleasantly surprised how the meals were so well complimented. I was also amazed that my favourite meal was mussels with pumpkin "porridge", I dont even like mussels! The dry reisling complimented the soft pumpkin and mussels which in turn contrasted with the crunch of pumpkin seeds and thinly sliced raw cauliflower. Goodness I will have to detour to New Plymouth more often just to try out these meals which are said to change each week. Compliments to the Chefs and thank you Brittany, Dylan and Luke for your service and information.

We did the degustation menu with wine match. Amazing food and wine. Luke, Dylan and Ian were the best wait staff we've ever encountered they know their stuff! Knowledgeable and helpful and genuinely happy to share their food and wine expertise.

The staff are very friendly and kind. My husband and I had the 5 course tasting menu with matching wines. The food was very delicious and well presented. We were hosted by Inder who was very accommodating and well informed of the wines. I look forward to another visit to New Plymouth so we can dine here again.

We had the silver fern winning dishes ( beef tartare and fillet steak) and they were excellent. Well worth the awards. Service impeccable and lovely atmosphere. Fantastic experience.

What an absolute gem of an evening! Not only was the food and wine divine, the service was spectacular! Britteny was our waitress for the evening and she made sure it was a night to remember. Our dad passed away recently and tonight would have been mum & dad's 60th Wedding anniversary. The staff put together a beautiful simple plate with a single candle. Such a kind sentiment that meant the world to us and made this a night to remember. It's the little things in life that make life worth living. Thank you to all the staff at Salt and especially to Britteny xxx
