We had a birthday dinner on the 1st August at hotel and was very disappointed with our meal . There where 5 of us for dinner. I had the lamb shank the shank was cooked ok but the potatoes where so salty I left them on plate. . Not enjoyable at all. My daughter had pork belly and that was very salty as well. She left most of hers as well. 3 other quests had steak which was cooked perfectly but they also had macaroni cheese which they couldn't eat as it contained so much vinegar that they couldn't taste the cheese so that was left as well. plate. Not sure if I will try a meal again there. We have dined there before and have had lovely meals ?????

The service was good and our waitress was very polite and pleasant BUT the food was very average to say the least. There were 4 of us for dinner on Saturday evening and I was the only one who finished their meal and I had a salad. My husband had the lamb shanks pie which when it arrived looked like a Desperate Dan Meal, not very easy to eat and the meat was not tender as you would expect. Not much of a selection for a vegetarian either. Pub food, averagely cooked at a high price.
