Cheap accomodation - heater in bathroom and a great heatpump to kerp you warm. Lovely bed with good quality sheets and towels. Did have trouble with the tv though.

I wouldn't recommend anyone staying in the Safari Motel. We booked weeks out from our intended arrival and had our booking confirmed. When I rang to say we were on our way there was no booking for us and they had sold our room to someone else. We had to find somewhere else at the last minute with no help from them. There were people staying at the alternative accommodation that we managed to find that had had a similar experience with this motel!

Spent a lot of time here between travelling Auck - Wellington when I was on the road. Awesome place, easy parking and getting in and out. Walking distance to all the shops. Right next to the lake. Cool.

First time staying in this area and Safari Motel made for a pleasant stay. Started with a friendly greeting and painless check in. The room itself was very clean and reasonably sized with all the usual amenities you'd expect in a motel room. On the down side, the motel is right by SH1 and a railway line so if you're a noise-sensitive sleeper you'll definitely need the ear plugs provided. The bed wasn't the most comfortable either.
