I don't understand why this place has such high reviews. We got tapas of fish, mushrooms, halloumi bruschetta and spring rolls. Fish definitely didn't taste fresh, spring rolls were of supermarket quality, mushrooms were fine but the halloumi bruschetta really spoiled our appetite. It was like eating soft plastic. We tried all three they gave us and each one was horrible. We tried pinpointing what was wrong or off but I think it may have been the grill it was cooked on. There was also hair throughout the platter which the the final straw. When we told the server about these issues she just said she'd tell the chef but still made us pay the full $60 for something we barely touched. Wouldn't reccomend unless you're just going for a mocha (that was delicious!) This is actually the first poor review I've ever given a place so it was a pretty gross experience

Took a punt on C4 coffee at Rustic cafe as next door they serve Hummingbird.
Big mistake
Ordered 2 takeaway coffees & muffin, probably worst coffee I have ever bought, Luke warm & milky . ( I am a coffee snob &otherwise coffee in rubbish bin ) - someone needs to get some lessons & drink their own coffee compared to a decent Baister - so don't get coffees off the guy there as they are terriable.

Incredibly accomodating to a vegan diet and other dietary requirements. I loved the mushrooms and the dukkah and it was an excellent amount of food for the price. I'll definitely return when I come back to Hanmer.

Very disappointed at the lack of advertisement of soy milk prices on the menu. Soon found out why: $2 is excessive.

Definitely recommend this cafe out of any other in Hanmer! We ordered the rustic breakfast platter and all I can say is wow! What great value for money, I did not expect to be eating this platter for breakfast and lunch! Great coffee, generous portions of food and fantastic staff! Good work guys keep it up!

Great place - perhaps thé best place - to have lunch, atmosphere and food wise. Almost everything on their menu is yummy, but the banana/bacon pancakes are my nr. 1. The thick shakes and coffee are really good/nice too.
