We stayed 3 nights at Rosie's. It was the highlight of our NZ trip. We were treated as family members. Accommodation is excellent, big shared kitchen, Rosie and her husband Alistar ready to help with anything. We hiked, took the tour to Doubtful Sound, visited the bird sanctuary. Te Anau is a magical place where even the birds are friendly to visitors.

This is the only place you need to consider. Rosie and her hubby Alistar are full of information and very hospitable. Great location!

Highly recomend this Back Packers, Rosie is delightful, friendly and sometimes bakes a cake or bread , not all the time but when she does it a lovely treat . MR Rosie , sorry did not get his name but he was chattie and friendly . Our room was a single bed with a set of bunks off the lounge , I was initially worried about noise , but need not have worried , everyone off to bed early and it was quiet and restful. This back packer is so much more friendly and family like than some of the other larger ones
