The stars are all for the location, lake views, quiet peaceful night's rest, although there were some honking elk in the background. If the skies are clear its dark enough for astrophotography as there is very little light pollution. The accommodation is very dated, cold, soft beds, a shower that is either cold or hot. But the staff are very friendly.

Good priced accommodation with a restaurant and bar nextdoor. Rooms are spacious with great views but lack privacy when a BBQ table sits on the lawn outside your window and folk can look straight in at you. Gravel driveways with limited parking close to your unit. There is a shared kitchen and lounge available. An easy walk to the CBD and lakeshore and walks.

Basic cabins but we'll equipped with great views over the lake , convenient bar and restaurant very friendly staff.

This is a budget motor in so it is inexpensive and very basic, however it is clean and functional. A really beautiful place to stop if you need a cheap home base for the Fiordland national park. The view from this motor inn are amazing, anywhere else in the world and this would be 5 star views.
