Amazing hosts and a great place to stay! Thank you Mel and Ralph for the awesome weekend away..you went out of your way to make us feel at home and welcome in this beautiful little town..definetly booking again soon..We forgot to try your iconic pizza..thank you Monica for being such a kind friend to Ciara this weekend 🙂

After a long trip from Top of the South Island it was real nice to arrive at Kaitangata Riverside Motorcamp. Real old school hospitality.!! Ralph and Mel, the down to earth friendliest people. BUT..the best part was the Pizza I had there. Freshly made..packed with all the goodies on top. I am not a Pizza loverbut this was just GOOD.!! Thank you for a magic time in the Motor CampI will sure stay there every time I come down your way. Small village experience at it's best.!!! Good old school values ! Loved it.

Ralf and his lovely wife Mel and their charming girl Monica (5) were very friendly and accomodating.
My family and I enjoyed our 3 day stay..Kaitangata is a very quiet and laid back kind of place; out of the way but 20 minutes from Balclutha..Milton..Momona airport..
The mightt Clutha River runs through the town; picturesque and peaceful.Great for rejuvinating the body!
Ralf makes delicious pizzas, and Stromboli to live for!He is a qualified Chef after all.
Accomodation is clean and comfortable.
I recommend this place to anyone seeking a rural retreat.

Kaitangata Riverside Motor Camp in Kaitangata Black Gold Town is in a wonderful location with outstanding views as it rest on the banks of the Matau branch of the mighty Clutha River.
Location: Traveling south from Dunedin the Kaitangata turn off is left 8kms from Milton.
Travelling north through Balclutha turn right directly north of the landmark Balclutha bridge.
Follow the river and 12kms later your hosts Ralph and Mel Hahn will welcome you to your special getaway in Kaitangata Black Gold Town.
Riverside Motor Camp Accommodation options and facilities:
ACCOMMODATION
• Bed and Breakfast.
At $35.00 per person you can choose either a comfortable double room or caravan for up to 3 people. Choose your breakfast from the mouth watering selection of: Bacon, Eggs, Hash Brown, Omelet or Porridge as well as Tea and Coffee. Please advise special dietary needs when booking and we will accommodate this.
• Camp sites
8 power point sites suitable for campervans, caravans or tenting-$25.0 per person per night.
CAMP FACILITIES
• Riverview Pizzeria-On site delicious pizza dining by resident Chef Ralph Hahn.
BYO and take advantage of Ralphs 45 years experience in the business.
• Barbecue and picnic area available, Indoor games room & function area.
• New fully equipped kitchen, New ablution block, excellent disability suite, hot showers, clean modern toilets
• Animals welcome
• Internet connection available
• Laundry with washing machine $2.00 per load
• Dump station free to Riverside Motor Camp campers-other use for $3.00 per time.
