Affordable camping with very clean facilities. Washing machines and tumble dryers, hot showers, very close to Mt Ruapehu and Tongariro Alpine Crossing. Friendly staff.

Absolutely wonderful, staff, place; accessibility, facilities, Canoeing trip to Whanganui, transportation to and from whanganui river last but not least the refreshment served before and after the trip; felt like coming home after 3 tough days on the river.

Nothing special but does the job if you are just staying one night before heading out in a canoe. Rooms very small but warm and clean. Decent shower and big kitchen / dining area. Felt like the staff at the front desk were just going through the motions - a smile would have been nice.

Staying here was a wonderful experience, the cabins were cosy and comfortable, the facilities great and the prices low even for poor students! The park is right next to a beautiful river and bush walk and just around the corner from the Raetihi main road. The family running the park were incredibly welcoming, helpful and generous, calling shuttles and helping us organise our trip up the mountain. There were lovely kids and friendly dogs and it was the perfect casual kiwi atmosphere to stay in. This is what travelling in New Zealand is about. Can't wait to visit again! Justine and Jake
