There's just something about camping in the South Island, this place isone of those.
The coastline is a step back in time. Just awesome.
The campground is great, and didn't have any issues there. Depending on what time of year though it can get cold! so pack warm stuff.

Beautiful area with plenty of space to camp. This location does get quite a bit of traffic during popular travel times so if you are looking to be alone during the holidays, look elsewhere. There is no shortage of wildlife in the area and plenty of space to roam. If you have a 4WD vehicle, they can be driven onto the beach but do so at your own risk.
