Hired a bike, they have good ones. Staff seemed more knowledgeable and helpful than the first two I checked with. Retail store is well equipped, assume that staff is top notch as well.

Good selection of useful items for tramping/hiking at good prices and no need to join any sort of membership club. Staff when we visited was very helpful.

New Zealand is a weird and wonderful place. Especially when you arrive at the Wanaka Outdoor Sports bike store. I got heaps of awesome service and help on the spot, Rick even made up some new bolts for me to replace the ones i stripped out. Great range of gear, hopefully one day i will be back for some of those POC sunnies. Totally impressive service and the workshop looks very nicely run.
