Great views of the mountains from the Americana diner as you enjoy a Gourmet Pie made daily or a big Burger. Museum is well laid out to show off the grand old cars and war planes.

Gorgeous examples of some more obscure models of cars. Really enjoyed going through this museum, all those gleaming rounded fenders.

Can't comment on the museum but the cafe has a great 50s American diner vibe with a jukebox and friendly staff. Good coffee and breakfast!

Turned up and there was already a queue for the entry but nobody there to serve anybody.
Waited around for five minutes and still no staff to buy some tickets from.

My family and I agree that the displays were to a high standard, but was over priced, cost $45 for us and took us 10 mins. Don't go here go to the transport and toy museum instead.The name is misleading there is only about five planes to see. I did try and discuss our disappointment at the time and just got told sorry but it is called this because of this is were warbirds over wanaka is. So I write this review over a week after going and still feel the same, really feel ripped of.

Based on my experience I wouldn't recommend this museum, I found it to be overpriced at $20 for adults without much content to view. Would be better if cheaper. Could have spent $40 on something longer than 5 minutes

It was a good place to dine. The cafe in rock n roll style was modern. It was clean and bright. The food was hot and delicious. My friends and I ordered some pies, burgers and fries and coffee. We ate a little only as we didn't want to throw up in the sky while skydiving lol! At the back there is a corner for selling gramophone records which matched the theme of cafe.
