  This a great place right across from the beach. It is in a quiet area and the compound itself is peaceful. We had a private room with a double bed in an apartment layout. The quarters are simple but worth the money. The two women who operate the hostel are great and are very knowledgeable about the surrounding area.

  You have a little apartment with 3 bedrooms. Its a pretty cool set up. Had a really good time here. Well worth a stay

  Whitianga is a beautiful location, and the YHA hostel matched the feel of this place. The 2 ladies at reception were lovely and caring, the bed was warm and comfortable and the facilities were of a good standard. Definitely recommend for the low budget traveller. Very appreciative and thankful

  Hospitable and very helpful staff (Sue!). Great location. Building needs an upgrade but we found it a very nice place for the 2 nights we stayed.

  You're living in small apartments with a few people together. You have your own kitchen and bathroom in there. Really nice place to stay. The facilities are pretty old and not really clean but it's ok.

  Stayed with a group in the Dorm. Reasonable facilities, all very clean. Just a shame we didn't stay long enough to enjoy the free kayaks! Great location although a fairly quiet town. Very friendly.
