Could not be happier with Omega Rental Cars Picton!!! We found their pricing really competitive. Their team were so flexible when our Ferry to Picton was cancelled and we had to change our pick up/drop off at Blenheim Airport last minute. The pick up and drop off was super easy and we loved our Toyota Highlander! We comfortably fit 4 Adults + 1 infant seat and 3 weeks worth of luggage comfortably (we thought we'd be making multiple trips to the airport!)

We found Omega to be excellent. The fact that the pick up or drop off was not directly at airport made little difference as shuttle was fast and efficient and personal friendly. Clear drop off instructions were given and car was ideal for what we needed.
We did not feel any concern as to being over charged and an honest assessment of any scratches etc on car was given so drop off quick and no concern re extras.
This is 2nd time we have used Omega and both times excellent.

Very responsive to queries via emails from before renting the car till the point of return. Rented a Toyota Corolla which was in good and clean condition. Enjoyed driving the car for a good 10 days. Service provided by Nelson at Picton during pick up was excellent. Process to return car at Wellington was smooth and quick too. 100% will rent from Omega the next time we are back in New Zealand.

This is the second time we have used Omega, 1st time was for 4 weeks to do the north island 3 years ago and In September 2022 another 4 weeks to do the South Island. We can not fault the service we received from Auckland on the 1st trip and Picton on this recent trip. Pick ups and drop offs are smoothly managed and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Very, very happy with the service and good value for money. We will use Omega whenever we are in NZ and would not hesitate to recommend the company.

Booked our rental car with Omega. It was seemless and all communications were promptly responding to.
Said we were going skiing and I was very happy and grateful to find on arrival that they had put a ski rack on our vehicle without any request or extra charge.
Car was spotless and pick up and drop-off a breeze. Highly recommended!

Rented a car for 10 days to tour the South Island. Pick up in Picton after hours and dropping off at Christchurch. There was no drop off in different location charge and full insurance included.
Staff were fantastic on both ends. Would well recommend Omega.

I booked a car from home, and when I arrived in Picton, it was already after hours, (8pm) and the car was waiting for me, just like they told me. I had a beautiful trip in the south island, we made over than 300km and not a single problem. Before returning the car, we made a litte change in our trip route, and I asked them if I can leave the car in Nelson instead. Again, they where so kind and let me do it. Even when I called them after hours again. Great service! Friendly and cheap. Best option no doubt.

Excellent, no-fuss service.
This was the second time in NZ I have used Omega. They were good the first time and were even better this time around. Nice people to deal with in Auckland, Wellington, Picton and Christchurch. The cars were really good - we had a 2017 Subaru Forester on both islands. This is the perfect car for touring NZ and I think it is a way more comfortable vehicle to drive on the winding roads than some gaudy painted van or motorhome. Our friends had a Corolla from Omega and they also said it was good to drive in the local conditions. Omega are very price competitive and the worry as a customer is that the service will not be as good as some of the more expensive rivals. This is not the case with Omega. First class, straightforward service. Will use them again on the next visit to Kiwiland!

Be aware there is no after hours help - i arrived at the ferry terminal at 6pm (considered after hours) to find they forgot to include a toddler car seat (even though I'd confirmed it with them that day). There was no after hours help or cell phone number available so I was completely stranded and had to beg another rental company for a seat. Next time I will pay the extra and go with a more reliable company
I wouldn't have trusted that car on a long journey anyway (I only travelled 60km).

Fantastic company - so upfront & honest!!

My rental was for 40 days + 40 nights (I know, no biblical quotes required, lol) which included, drop off at Wellington + pick up another vehicle on the South Island.

All totally seamless!! Most efficient, another vehicle was waiting for me right at the ferry terminal!!

In my haste, I left my glasses case in the first vehicle, a couple of polite emails to Marie (in Wellington). who arranged them to be forwarded to Christchurch, my final destination, low and behold, when I arrived, yep, they were there waiting for me!!
Amazing service, thank you so much Marie.

Overall, I would highly recommend anyone to use Omega, everything was seamless, relaxed and the staff such a pleasure to deal with!

I had an awesome time in New Zealand!!

Someone asked me, 'what was my highlight of New Zealand?

We used Omega for the first time on a recent trip around the South Island. Great car, very friendly and helpful staff and the best price we could find. We're very happy that we chose them over the better known larger operators - the service was terrific and we got a much better deal. We will definitely be back next time. Strongly recommended!

Great customer service and flexibility. No extra charge to pick up the car in Picton and drop it off in Christchurch. Good rates and good car. Really appreciated the free shuttle that picks-up/drops-off at airport (Christchurch) and ferry terminal (Picton).

A six week "both island" contract with Omega (which was very competitively priced) ensured we had multiple contacts with Omega staff and Admin systems.
Our experiences were all A+ and even beyond the call of duty at times.
Weekend service for drop off and coĺlect during Inter-island transfer was superb. Both Corollas handled the road admirably, were very comfortable and spacious enough to carry Qantas allocation of luggage plus golf clubs. Thank you Omega. Definitely will recommend you to fellow travellers.

The car was pretty good, only minor problems. One of the electric windows didn't work and the battery was pretty old and used, which led to a flat battery within one or two minutes, when the lights were not turned off immediately. Unfortunately there were no jumper cables in the car, so we had to find someone with cables, a car and time to help us out.

The service is really good, I got a car in Blenheim for the next morning, although I only called in the late afternoon. The price was good as well!

I rented 3 cars over 3 weeks from Omega and can say that despite it being their busy season and me not booking in advance on 2 out of 3 occasions the staff went out of their way to accommodate me. I lost the mount for my GPS and the staff in Picton in helped me with one that did the job. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to someone looking for good value and service in a car rental company.
