Absolutely outstanding service! Due to to unforeseen circumstances our plans had changed, hertz Picton kindly accommodated all our needs! I spoke to Mike, Tristan and a lovely lady over the phone, each were so kind and very helpful.I would definitely hire from hertz again! 10/10! Made our journey to the South Island so much easier! Lurleen is an absolute star and credit to this office. Our ferry was delayed a couple of hours into Picton meaning we would not arrive until 9pm. I called ahead to inform Hertz and Lurleen was very reassuring on the phone to say that she would be there waiting for us. When we finally arrived, Lurleen saw to us straight away and made it a very quick and easy process and was so friendly. We had a fantastic Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross which made our long trips around the South Island extremely enjoyable.

Great service. Staff showed up straight away even though they were closed as our ferry was delayed by a few hours. Very friendly and I was even able to pick up my car a day earlier after calling prior to organise this.

The car was ready, and pickup was quick and easy even though our flight to Christchurch was delayed.
The Toyota Corolla 4dr hatchback was excellent on NZ's roads. Only complaint was that the visor is too short and doesn't slide out.
Drop-off in Picton was also quick since the office was closed and there was just a key drop.

Good rental company. I was a bit scared because there were some bad reviews for the one in Christchurch. I relocated a car so only paid 1$ (plus insurance). People at the office in Christchurch were friendly and here in Picton too. The car was awesome. It was a beautiful, new Toyota Corolla. It even still smelled like a new car. It had a GPS and rear view camera.
They didn’t check if anything was wrong with the car or if I filled the car up with fuel at the drop off.

Restricted opening hours, no one to check your car in with and a high risk of being charged if fuel tank not ABSOLUTELY full

Friendly staff, fast service. One star lost as the drop off is a little walk to the office, which some people may not like. This may be because of the ferry terminal setup however.
