Was a bit disappointed with menu. Not really a family restaurant anymore. There is definitely nothing there children would like other than the pudding. Personally and some of the others in my group said the same it is not good value anymore. I did enjoy the salads.

WOWW!!! I/WE Mi whanau can't find the words to describe the experience we had at this absolutely wonderful restaurant..Where to start: Firstly Thank You Thank You to the awesome staff - the waiter & waitresses who tended to us your customer service was on pointCan not fault yous at allSecondly the Food: migossh the food we will all be talking about this for days especially the pork belly lol but honestly everything was brilliant..again we can not fault this @ allAnd lastly & a highlight for us was that our kids was also taken care of with a play area right by us to keep them entertainedtheir complimentary food baskets & then given their small party bagsOur night celebrating our brothers 50th birthday was a night we will remember for a long time and we have Oak Tree Restaurant and Staff to thank for that..I wish I could put 10+ stars cos yous truly deserve all 10+So from the Houkamau whanau & extended whanau whom travelled from Gisborne/Rotorua/Auckland/Australia & here in Tauranga we want to say from the bottom of our hearts Thank You & God Bless U All

The Oaktree itself is A however the chef in the bistro leaves a lot to be desired. You can only order from the menu provided with no changes. Sad when you just require a basic meal as a truck driver. Perhaps this chef needs to spend a bit of time on the road, and he may understand. Spend the extra few bucks as a driver and eat in the Oak Tree itself. Do the bistro chef out of a job

A big thank you to Jenny and the rest of the team at Oaktree Restaurant for the excellent service we received when booking our Golden Wedding anniversary recently. Everything went well at the restaurant and the food was fantastic. I would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant to others and will certainly do so! Many thanks
