Everything is almost perfect but really not enough fresh air in the room. Would be good to have some ventilation.

I'm only giving this place a 1 star because I have to otherwise I'd give it a NO STAR! Right first off had an ensuit room with no damn towels to get a towel it was a $10 deposit per towel and $3 for the hire, it's only a bloody towel! 9:00PM at night knock on door house keeping then on in he came. Very disappointed with this since we were 3 females. Same happened the next night. What if your trying to sleep? VERY Dirty duvet covers. Will not be back at this poophole!!!! And what is the pillowcases about ? Come get them ya selves. PLUS power doesn't work unless u put two cards in!!! Staff very rude and not helpful. Won't be back and don't reccommend. Cheers Nancy.

Terribly noisy Doors, beds and their frame. Beds also uncomfortable. Rooms and the whole Level very smelly because No airflow. Bathrooms ok Clean. Nice Stuff. Free breakfast amd free Dinner is Ok.

Good hostel for the price. One of the better hostels in Wellington for sure. Had more of a hotel feel than most hostels which was nice (keycard entry and nice elevator). Staff was very friendly and they even offered a free pancake breakfast and light evening meal for those living on the cheap. Would hit up again.

I stayed at Nomads during my New Zealand trip. The front desk guy was very rude and he wasn't willing to answer any of my questions. My access card of the room stopped working 3 times and he wasn't believing me all the three times!!! Really ? He then came upstairs and checked, it wasn't working for him too. No problem solving skills, no patience, no courtesy. Poor work. Wouldn't recommend to any tourist.

Conclusion of a 2week trip in the North Island, this hostel was definitely the worst I've been to : expensive for the service proposed, closet-like rooms with no space for your stuff, no free wifi even in common areas, messy kitchen and bathrooms, stinky rugs, and the staff entering rooms randomly without knocking EVEN WHILE YOU SLEEP. The 1 star is not even deserved.

The rooms of 4 were barely closets and it was impossible to move around with our suitcases on the floor. The dorm of ten did not have ventilation and the smell of rotten feet was horrible, the beds made cringy noises all night when the person on the top bed moved and the showers were flooded. Finally, the staff comes into your room twice a day for "random checks" which is a huge lack of respect for privacy. avoid this hostel while you can.

Me and my friend stayed recently at the nomads capital. It was pretty expensive in comparison to all the other hostels we have stayed before . It was also the only hostel were we didnt got any free wifi ! we slept in a 4bed mix bedroom and it was extremely noise all night long ! Not because of the people in the room but because of all the clubs,pups and restaurants which were all on wakefield st. It might be a good place to stay on the weekend when you dont mind drunk people shouting at each other at 4am in the morning. everything else was fine,.it was clean,..staff was friendlyeven though there was just one person ..

The staff were very friendly and great location. The room I was in smelled like wet dog and was so hot that it has hard to get to sleep. Only one window and a large fan that didn't do much. The bathrooms were okay, but with so many people coming through that don't care about cleaning up after themselves didn't help matters. Only one hour of free WiFi, but I found New Zealand overall you had to pay for it at some point.

The staff was very nice, and that's about it.
The whole place was worn out, dirty and smelly everywhere. We had to buy a bottle of desinfectant before we dared to sleep a night in the provided double-bed room.

They provide free breakfast & dinner (DIY pancakes in the morning & a dinner voucher in the evening), which we have not tried both, because we wanted to get out of there a.s.a.p.
Been to many backpackers, quiet a few that have been as busy as this one, but all of them have been tidier and not as worn-out.

Nice and clean hostel. The 6 share room was fine, amenities in good repair. Helpful staff and reception is open 24 hours. Offer free pancake mix for brekky and free basic dinners from 5.30pm via a coupon for a nearby pub.

Very friendly service and comfy beds. Pancake batter and tea are provided free for breakfast and were a great way to start my morning. Rooms and toilets were clean. Would recommend staying 100%!
