Byron in Happy Travels, Queenstown arranged a 30 minute flight for myself and my nervous wife up to Double Cone on the Remarkables and a scenic flight past Queenstown and around Arthur's Point. I had never been in a helicopter before.
The outfit could not have been more professional. We were given a thorough safety briefing, allowed to pose in front of the helicopter for pics and then enjoy the flight up to the mountain top. Not sure who our pilot was but he made a perfect landing up on a rocky plateau. We had a great time getting photos right up near the edge and it was not rushed.
Then, once back in the helicopter we flew past Queenstown and around Arthur's point landing back at Queenstown airport.
Totally great experience and would recommend anytime.response / report this review -

Just did the alpine landing flight. Brilliant flight, amazing experience and fantastic people who work in the office and in the air. I cannot recommend this flight enough.

Absolutely amazing experience with these guys! Ben our pilot was awesome, very friendly and informative and a great photographer. Highly recommend this company. As for the people who are complaining, they obviously don't understand how a business needs to operate. Kathryn was also very helpful organising the flight for us and making this an experience we will never forget. Thanks guys, J and R.

Stay away from this tour if you don't want to spoil your holiday. They easily accept your booking just to find out they have cancelled your flight without notifying you ahead of time. Make sure you call them (if you book with them at your own risk) or you'll end up waiting on their pick up point for nothing. Their excuse is that there's not enough passenger and you have to pay all the seats to proceed! This will destroy your planned holiday. It has been a hassle to go back to the agency tour to get a refund for the deposit and wasted your time on your holiday.

BEWARE! Never book with these guys. I've book with them but never bring me there. They'll only tease you and frustrate you very much. If I didn't call them I wouldn't know that they already cancelled my booking. I repeat if you don't want to spoil your holiday, never book with this tour. If only I can put a negative or zero score on this review I would be very grateful!

I've flown with Heli Tours many times and I can't recommend them highly enough. From their incredibly professional team of pilots, extremely knowledgeable of the Queenstown and Fiordland areas to their modern fleet of helicopters - it's a perfect operation.
Heli Tours is a family run business, and Paul and his team are the heli company to fly with for adventures to far away locations or a quick sightseeing trip around Queenstown.response / report this review -

We booked a tour for ice landing. But they didn't take us there. When we came back after tour the office persons even the owner himself was telling us lies. They are trying to bluffing us. They are trying to convince us as pilot can take decision any time. Though pilot told us he was only instructed where to land . The hole office management is liar & cheater. They was even too rude with us. They didn't brief us the safety rules properly. The helicopter ride ever. We cancelled our other plans only for this.Even we did a weather check as instructed.
