The food was delicious. Beers good. They give four or five med. Glasses to drink if you want. Lovely open fire friendly staff.

Very cool place. Nice beertry the Chilli-Beer. Hot!!!
Also good food. Only strugelling to get the steak to medium. Lots events going on during week. Check the website.

A vibrant hostellery, busy especially when there is live entertainment. Not a lot of room but be prepared to share a table and chat to others. Good food and try the local cider (although to be fair NZ cider doesn't match up to the established English ciders like Aspalls and Thatcher's)

Awesome place. I've been plenty of times during January holidays. They brew their own range of beers. If you can't decide which one to order then get the tasting platter. Try the Captain Cooker at least once. Food mostly excellent (although personally I think the nachos are overrated). I'm happy to go along with their no fries policy. Usually busy in summer, but plenty of covered outside seating.

Good place to grab some interesting beers and cider. The food looked good, though we didn't eat here. Only down a star for a $40 cover for their music last night. We might have stayed for dinner otherwise.

Quirky as; great mussel chowder; excellent craft beer range; however how can The Mussel Inn run out of fresh mussels over Xmas/ New Year (saying on a notice board that the mussel workers are on holiday!!) Supermarkets sell fresh mussels every day they are open!! Come on Mussel Inn; kick arse!!
