  Stay here in early March 17 while riding the Around the Mountain Trail. Great place to stay, nice rooms, great food and friendly hosts. Thanks.

  Lucky find via Google maps on our way back up north from Milford sound. Amazing rooms for a great price, really friendly stuff and ridiculously generous, hearty meals for dinner after kayaking all day around Milford Sound.

  Recently we had a family members 60th birthday to celebrate ..As we were out of towners we needed somewhere to gather with family & old friends for a catch up , cold beer & a meal & due to our hectic schedule we needed to be on our way in a couple of hours. The Mossburn Railway Hotel was the 1st place we thought of , we have stayed before on several occasions & we new that Thomas & Vicky would be very happy to fit in with our needs We told them a basic plan & they helped to put things into action. They opened their kitchen on a Saturday lunchtime & although we weren't really sure how many people would be turning up they supplied meals of an unbeatable standard for all who wanted them .. Delicious , succulent & that would pass in any top notch restaurant . Their gentle but firm organizational skills meet our every need & kept our timing on track for the rest of our day. We highly recommend this wonderful country pub to anyone & we'll definitely keep going back many times in the future !!! Thanks so much Thomas & Vicky

  It sure is old, 1922 old and thats what gives it character! Eating a homemade style dinner next to a warm wood burning fire while sipping a cold beer, you just cant beat it. Staff are super friendly and have a great sense of fun. Pudding was delish, try the apple crumble. The rooms were simplistic though super comfy and the bed is the next best thing to sleeping on a cloud while resting after a day of traveling. Seems to be an enjoyable hang out for the locals too. I would highly recommend staying here, and really enjoyed my time. Thanks guys
