Amazing wine at affordable prices. Really informative tasting and Marilyn was so nice. Beautiful dog to pat on the way in too.

Absolutely loved this place. We weren't sure it was open at the time of year we visited, but when we called, the guy said he'd love to have us anyway.
We were greeted by a lovely older gentleman, truly passionate and knowledgeable about wine, while charmingly down to earth and without airs. We really enjoyed all of his wines, which were also very competitively priced, and left with a couple of bottles.
To top it all off, he gave us some absolutely great recommendations for other wineries to visit; delivered, once again, with a refreshing enthusiasm and regard.
As our first winery of the day, this charming gentleman set a very high standard for customer service which was often missing at the latter wineries we visited.response / report this review -

We were warmly welcomed at Maori Point, and the wine was well worth the small detour to get here. One of the best Pinot Noirs I have tasted in New Zealand out of several dozen, in fact one of the best I have tasted anywhere. The rose and whites were also very good, as was the sparkling wine which came packaged in beer bottles. Amazing!
