  Excellent facilities, clean & tidy. Hot showers and well maintained composting toilets. Beautiful & peaceful surroundings as well!

  Rustic, charming really friendly hosts - and the mud slides are the best! Great place for families - lovely stream to swim in too :)

  An Eco camping ground a little off the beaten track. Good basic facilities and interesting surrounding area. Only 4 powered sites so best to be self contained. An enjoyable place to stay especially if you enjoy real camping.

  Very cute, peaceful and friendly people. The WiFi doesn't work very good but the nature is very nice with some small walks around, a big swing and a slide, lots of cool places to sit down and relax

  I love Little River Campground! Such a beautiful and charming site right on the river. We set up our tent in one of the quiet tent sites surrounded by lush forest and the sound of the river put us to sleep. And not buggy at all! Highly reccomend!

  After one month trip in New Zealand and a lot of camping, this is definitely the best! Great place, good facilities, kind owner and it's the cheapest!

  Don't book this campsite! We had a change to our itinerary and I emailed the campsite to cancel (within the cancellation policy). I was told that they DIDN'T know how to process a cancellation and even if they did, they can only refund New Zealand cards. You get charged when you book so not knowing how to refund is absurd. Additionally, most campers are foreigners so if refunds cannot be issued to foreign cards this also should be disclosed. I then tried working with their booking provider - Bookit - who were equally unhelpful and even sent me a snappy email about my complaint, stating if I would have had a legitimate reason to cancel I could have been refunded and that they 'hoped my holiday was better not attending their campsite.' Overall terrible customer service and I'm now out about $100 NZD that no one seems to know how to refund me. Save yourself a lot of hassle and go elsewhere - and steer clear of other sites that use Bookit.

  Awesome setting for the family holiday.Loads to do for the kids exploring the native bush walks,playground etc.A great place for the grown ups as well the swing and slide are heaps of fun.Would have liked to stay longer than the week we were there.Thanks The O'Connor's

  Camped here for two nights and had a lovely time. Great vibe and super cool native bush augmented with swings, slides, and other nice things.
