Amazing for a fairly small area to cleverly take you out of a town. But very worth the price! They also do a great job

Absolutely amazing, highly recommend as a must visit!! Private tour was extremely informative and the team do an amazing job with the up keep of the facility. Good job guys, you do amazing work. Thanks for having us!!

Me and my partner had a great time seeing the kiwi bird they were really active and very vocal.
The bird show was cool and very informative it was cold out so they had the blankets and hot water bottles ready for us that was a great idea.
It was pricey but remember this bird sanctuary isn't Government funded so they need all the help they can get. The staff at the park were also very helpful and happy.
If your visiting Queenstown make sure you stop in and see the birds and the before and after photos of what it used to be prior to becoming a bird sanctuary.response / report this review -

This is my first visit to New Zealand, I didn't realize how endangered the kiwis are and I was excited to see them! They were active and busy in the kiwi houses. The info posts and conservation show were well done, thanks!

It's not that the park was bad, but it did not justify the price. The kiwis are cute though, I spent like an hour just in the kiwi area, and less than an hour to get through the rest of the park.

Loved the bird show at 3pm, very well put together. Of all the Kiwi houses I've been through in my life (staring into the dark at a brown, motionless lump!) the Kiwi in Kiwi house 1 was a delight and ran around and through the water, prodding its beak into every nook and crevice. The owners clearly love what they do and have created a wonderful experience over several decades. It mixes education and fun seamlessly and I learned a lot. It was a great way to spend a rainy afternoon (take a brolly) and I'd happily go again to get so close to so many of our national treasures that are unfortunately so endangered.

My 8 year old son and I had such a fun time here. It is a fairly small park, which actually was nice and not too overwhelming. We got to see a pair of Kiwis in the Kiwi house during feeding time, and the caretaker was very interesting and informative. She answered lot's of questions afterward and it was so much fun seeing these birds close up. We also got to do one of their bird shows and saw several different Native NZ birds close up. The staff is very friendly and they do such a good job promoting awareness of the different endangered animals and how to protect them.The entrance fees while a little steep, go towards conservation and a good cause. Totally worth it!

I'm a Kiwi and have been to many Kiwi viewing rooms, and will say that the Kiwi Birdlife Park in Queenstown was the best viewing of a kiwi I have ever had. Thanks as my wife had never seen one and was very happy. We visited March 2014.

Nice place to see Kiwis in action and to see other native birds.
This place has lots of ups and downs. To avoid climbing up and down too often plan your trip inside efficiently.
Enquire the timing of two main events.
1.Kiwi Feeding. 2. Bird conservation show.
Parking in front is free for 240 mins if you can get it. If you get one, immediately go and buy a lottery ticket instead of visiting Kiwi Park.
Need to allow lot of time to enjoy this properly. Combining with Gondola is not a good idea as you need time in both places.

One of the few kiwi breeding programmes that you can check into on the South Island.
Very knowledgeable staff, great shows and events that are free with entry into the park.
At NZ$45 when we went we thought it felt pricy BUT then when we got in there it blew away our original expectations. Definitely recommend.response / report this review -

Brilliant shows and amazing animals. It's also a great place to chill out. Entry is affordable especially when it all goes to saving the amazing native wildlife, it's completely not for profit! I had a great time and will definitely come back again
