30min gravel road to reach Kauri Sanctuary. Well worth it. If you go you'll most likely be the only one there. This isn't a tourist stop which is very nice. Beautiful largest Kauri trees among amazing bush. 3 Kauri trees have fallen so you can get a good perspective of their size. No toilets or trash cans.
