If the world were to end, it should definitely do so in Invercargill.oh, the world actually does end in Invercargill!!! An overall amazing place whose remoteness can literally be smelled in the air..in a good way, that is. The town's architecture, like many other of New Zealand's places big and small, weirdly resembles that of many of Canada's places big and small go figure! The eerie quiet combined with the equally eerie color the Sun shines there, may well give you the sense of a parallel universebut worry not, you're not dead and it ain't a parallel universe or the afterworld just a postcard end of the one we live in.

I liked the stuffed bird displays. The rest is up to you. Its not that far to bike too. Enjoy it. I did. Its a lovely extra to Invercargill city. Does not disappoint me! It has a theme to it. :)

Information centre where you can book tours, get information brochures and some souvenirs. It has a small free museum on the history of New Zealand with some Maori artifacts and the fastest Indian motorcycle. There's also a theater, a café and restrooms. It's located next to Queen Victoria Park.
