Nice place to stop over on the way to huka falls to learn more about bees and honey. They offered free tasters of all their honey at the back which is really nice.

The honey ice cream is tasty so worth a try. And they sell all sorts of honey products including drinks and hand creams. There's also a window into where all the bees are which is cool yet a little bit icky.

Also, if you're coming here - check out rock and ropes next door, it is awesome fun for all ages!

Interesting if you don't know much about bees. A fair few different types of honey and some beauty products made from bee products like royal jelly and bee venom. Wouldn't really need to stay more than 40 mins here.

    From Japan:)
Great shop! There are various cosmetics, foods and alcohol related to honey. Also, we can learn about bees.
I had Kapiti ice cream here, and it was extremely delicious!

Very lovely place with wide range of product what you can try and then decide if you want to purchase it. The only thing is that everything there is pretty expensive. For what is on the picture we paid $350. :( But quality is amazing I must say.

Free to enter, good knowledge about bees, plenty of things for the kids to look at and if you like honey they have about a hundred different ways to get some!

Every honey product you can imagine (including alcohol) None are cheap but it's well worth a look. They have indoor bees you can see working through glass, it's a bright and open layout and there is free tastings of about 10 different honeys! Take half hour to stop in and look through of you are in the area.

Lovely to learn about the honey bee and see them creating honey comb. Lots of honey, mead and other yummy things to taste while you're there to help you decide what to buy. Very friendly and well informed staff.
