Great atmosphere, awesome $10 breakfast, friendly service.
Over the past year, I have come here a number of times. Every time, something goes wrong that leaves us with a bad experience. Most recently, we ordered beer, then decided to get food (in the afternoon), however they told us the kitchen was shut and no food was avaiabale. We would not have ordered beer if we had known the kitchen was closed.
Came here at 6.30 on a Saturday and there were only 4 other tables fill. The first 4 items we ordered they couldn't supply. (Who doesn't supply their pizza menu on a SATURDAY night especially when there is rugby on). They wouldn't accept out 2 for 1 voucher on a few other things we ordered. Had one last chance to redeem themselves after finally coming to a agreement only to have it take almost an hour to cook wedges. Also the staff were quite unprofessional and dressed very daggy.
The new owners are not doing themselves any favours running what used to be a great place to come (back when it was called the Boston) will not return and wouldn't advise anyone else to, unless desperate.
Staff are nice friendly. Food is not to bad.
Went for what was supposed to have been a nice Mothers Day lunch. Food was good, but took 1.25 hours to get to our table after ordering. Two tables who arrived after us ate and left before we got our food. Won't be going back any time soon :(
Best place I have been in a long time. The service was great and the food was even better. Manager was friendly 😁😁.
Really yummy Breakfast and great to talk to the new owner who is totally open to new ideas and suggestions , consistency of food is the key in presentation and quantity and quality.
The new menu sounds exciting :)
Very good place to visit if you're feeling a little shady from antics the night before! After a cocktail evening we went here for breakfast. A very understanding waitress and great food to 'cure' us. Reasonable pricing and nice surroundings.
Only reason for 4 stars and not 5, no shades on the windows - the sun was streaming in and I had to eat my breakfast with my sunglasses on. Some people may not mind, but it was hot and a little uncomfortable.
I have been up all night with food poisoning. I should have known better when we entered this restaurant and saw it was completely empty on a Thursday night. But we were hungry and it was late 7pm. The food was mediocre at best. Pizza under-cooked, chocolate cake tasted months old, and the table and glassware were dirty. Don't waste your time, folks.
Had a really fantastic meal tonight. I had the salmon and husband had the scotch fillet. Beautiful mains done just right. A bit slow in terms of bringing out the food, but they were busy due to their Quiz Night. Lovely service as well. Really beat our expectations as a little local Hillcrest eatery.
