We've just had a family function here and it was wonderful! Lovely helpful staff from the start of our organising right through all the event itself. Great setting and delicious food. Thoroughly recommend it either for lunch or a function. Thanks so much!!

This place is a perfect getaway 15min from the city centre! Delicious food, beautiful setting and the owners are lovely! Definitely recommend for both lunch/dinner or functions.

Got married at Hinton Estate yesterday. Smallish group of arond 25 which the staff handled well. The grounds are small but very photogenic. The food was very good and appealed to a wide range of tastes. The beef dish in particular was fantastically tender. The staff were helpful and very easy going and helped make our big day a special one. All in attendance were impressed with the grounds, the food and the service. Hugely recommended for smaller wedding ceremonies and receptions. Thanks Team Hinton :)

The food was not good, and the desserts were stale - not worth $72. The entertainment was great.

I had the chicken salad and raspberry parfait, they were delicious and presented in an excellent way! There was an accident with a glass of ginger beer spilling but they sorted that quickly and professionally and gave a free drink too

Very average.Went for Grandparents Anniversary.The front of house staff lacked confident in front of 15 people.Couldn't control the times the food came out Eg waited 7 minutes from when the first plate came out till the last.Food overall was good.Was never asked how we would like our meat.No steak knife was given personally thought would of been needed as steak was a little chewy.Dessert we had a gooseberry crumble pretty much muesli with a sauce.Food overall was okay but didn't give us the edge of wanting to go back again for another meal.Front of house as I said were a little timid and nervous.No sign of upselling their food.Plates were taken straight away when finished didn't allow the whole table to finish eating before removing the plates.Was given wrong knife to cut a cake with.Very simple little mistakes.Abit of work and experience needed and even some teaching for out of front as didn't cut it for me.Overall okay place to dine was pleasant had nice venue just needs a touch up on a few things.Would b craving about the place and ready to go back for a wee while
