The mains portions were huge and very good I had a steak dish, we got to watch Rugby on TV while enjoying dinner with the family. lovely establishment and great atmosphere my steak was exactly how I ordered it medium rare-excellent also very tasty, kids were happy as well with what they ordered.

Service abit slack but the waitress may have been new. Not a lot of choice on menu. What we had was good. Decent servings.

The new menu is not as good as the old one. Most food served on a platter is not a good look. The service was good though.

Have had a family meal tonight - the service was very poor, food was overpriced and not up to standard, had to ask for the bacon to go with the chicken bacon stack, also for the children's desserts and we ordered a beer which we didn't receive but looked on the receipt when we arrived home and found we had been charged for it. Not a good experience and certainly our last.

Seafood basket was comprised of two fish bites, one battered crab stick and some dry fried mini shrimps on a stick. With fries. Not worth it at all for about $30 (on a public holiday). Kids meals were ok. Adults ribs were incredibly dry.

Bar staff were friendly and efficient. Our young waitress needed better training on the menu and confidence to fess up when mistakes are made. Food from the kitchen was a real let down. Steak was cooked well but doused in feta cheese and balsamic vinegar?? I would not recommend Robbies in Ashburton as a place to dine.
