Hotel was very nice. Our room was big, a lot of space, and all very clean. Staff were very nice, once I called to check if they have room available, they already turned on the heaters, and prepared the room for us, even before I confirmed the book. Also needed to print a document, and they helped with no charge. Please note the hotel is a bit far for Hamilton downtown but other than that is all good. Recommend.

27/28 Jan 2012. We left wondering what $300 per night actually paid for!! While the views were lovely as are many places around NZ there was nothing to do. Luckily we did not use the motorbike to travel there as it is 4km of gravel road to the top of the hill. And there are many stairs to contend with to actually get to your rooms which the resort does accomodate with a chair lift but they were "out of service''. The walkway was overgrown and unusable. However the chef's meals were outstanding!!!!! Generally we thought we had paid way to much for very little. Needs a good clean and renovate.

Great food, great rooms, great service and fantastic views. Stayed here while working in/around Huntly for several days. Had a good mix of being close enough to Huntly so I could easily get done what I needed too, while being far away enough in the evenings to offer a secluded work envionment. Had great cellphone reception too.

Would recommend to anyone for personal/business travels.

Excellent place.

Quiet extensive, but great big rooms, wonderful views and really tranquil. It is a but an hour south of Auckland Int Airport and is perfect for unwinding after a long journey/flight.

The food is top class and reasonable priced. Plus the breakfast room at the top has an outstanding 360 degrees view over the surrounding hills. Got to be one of the best places to have breakfast anywhere.

I was looking for place where me & my Mum could get some peace and quiet and relaxation and this is the most perfect place for just that! Amazing views, clean, comfortable and homely rooms (we stayed in twin share plus room) and the owners are just lovely. A library of DVD's & magazines was offered to us on check in and the food is outstanding. Gluten free options abound which was nice for me. Highly recommended to anyone looking for tranquility and to be surrounded by nature.
