The owner calls himself ' Grumpy ' he is not anything like that - charming and friendly and appears to get genuinly embarrassed when complimented by overseas tourists - a nice bloke - genuine.
I love here! Great owner, big big kitchen. Price s great.
Nice park, friendly owner, and good facilities. Spots are a bit chaotic and so vans are often clustered in a weird way, but otherwise very peasant. Geraldine down the road totally worth a visit.
Stayed for a week at Grumpys. Couldn't fault the accommodation, hospitality, or facilities. Would definitely stay again if in the area.
Cheep small room right next to the highway. Squeaky beds and not much heating. Good if you are only sleeping there for one night.
Grumpy is a lovely, grumpy, man with a heart of gold. Geraldine is an awesome place, made even better with him around. His caravan park was a very good spot to go explore Geraldine and the Peel forest from. Loved it :)
Really nice place with the very friendly staff.
perfect for a night stop with everything you need including free wifi and friendly service
Excellent holiday park with free wifi, free laundry, and a well equipped kitchen facilitiy. We paid $32 for an unpowered site for two.
We came by this gem of a holiday park by a local kiwi at some gas station.
The place is just nice and cozy and we've really enjoyed our stay here.
Grumpy is not grumpy at all and is very nice and friendly.
The WiFi here is free and unlimited, an amazing feature here in New Zealand.
The washing machine is free to use.
We're staying in a powered campervan so we only use the showers and kitchen, so this is how we see the camp.
The showers are good, roomy with a nice constant hot water stream.
The kitchen is one of the best we've been in; they're large with plenty of seating area, they offer lots of free kitchen utensils to use and have gas cookers (which we prefer instead of electronic ones).
This holiday park is just off the Inland Scenic Route and its worth the stop.
