Totally disgusting!!! We were in Hamilton for a teachers conference and a colleague of ours booked our room for us.upon walking into the room (which was meant to be smokefree??) there was a stenchsmoke, body odour, toe jams??? It truly was heinous!!! We decided to look a little closer and we discovered that the mattress was stained and the linen was appalling, there were also light bulbs not working and a bathroom that looked like it had been through a exorcism. We let reception know that we weren't impressed and the women came and checked out our complaints, she then smirked at us as we were explaining what we expected and said the best she could do was change the mattress and put in some new bulbs?? We then said we wanted a full refund and this was given, however we were then left with no accommodation for our stay in Hamilton, lucky we had family to stay with. No thanks to the 'Grotsvenor"!!!!!

I can only speak for Room 26 family unit, $180.00 for 2 adults & 2 children under 8, Ants, Cock roachs, cleanliness , not sure what their standard is but not great. No towels at the pool. Children could not shower as the water was either stone cold or scolding hot!. Quick to take your money at check in but not happy to listen to complaint on check out. There are plenty of nice places to stay in Hamilton -don't settle for this place!!

One star is too generous but the lowest score I could give. I can only review for room 11. Absolutely appalled at having to spend $99 on such accommodation. Black mould. Bathroom so damp the vanity, windowsills and corners of the floor are starting to rot. Original 70s toilet, vanity and bath so run down they should have been replaced 20 years ago. I should have seen the signs like the damp carpet leading to the bathroombut I still turned on the shower. Water ran down the back wall, along the edge of bath and then flooded the floor (great water pressure by the way), in the process of trying to turn the shower off to sort out the flood I lightly touched towel rail to have it and our towels crash to the floorinstant sopping wet towels. Earlier on arrival I had to go ask for milk so we could have a coffee, received a couple of small uht podsneither of us could finish our coffee. We had to go to the supermarket for fresh milk and better coffee. Could see how uncomfortable the double bed was by how much it had sunk where you lie. The fridge must have a broken thermostat, was really loud and constantly running (you know how fridges run for a little bit then stop), it froze our milk and in the middle of the night I had to pull it out from the cubby in order to unplug it so we could sleep. Blankets were old and a bit musty from the damp I guess. Broken ceiling fan. Blown lightbulbs. Inside of bathroom door had a hole like someone had put their knee through it. Never again will we stay here. My mum was especially horrified. It looked so nice from the outside but we were deceived. Room 11 is actually becoming a health risk.

This the most useless accomifatiom I've ever stayed at NO WIFI LET ME REPEAT NO WIFI all attempts at them fixing it still not going right.
NO sharp knifes no soap in the bathroom for hands.

Excellent location and very good facilities. Parking is OK but can be a bit tricky as the place is very popular

The worst motel I have ever stayed in Rm 33 was dated could have been cleaner bedding was very stained, shower was terrible in fact my husband had a very nasty fall. Electrical appliances none that we used worked properly. Only a few lights and electric plugs worked. Not a good look for our tourist that were staying there.

Nice receptionist gave me fresh milk. Dated decor. Furniture falling apart, worn, broken handles. Hair in the bath tub and benches not wiped down properly. No bowls, no knife, no fork only 2x side plates and 2x spoons. Microwave and kettle only no toaster or stove. Pool is not heated, cold and cave like. Fridge stinks. No views no ambience. I will not stay here again.

We booked the spa room as it sounded nice, however this was not the case. The room came with no towels and lacked basic amenities even though the booking states you could cook a meal in the room. The bathroom was filthy with mold throughout the shower and sink, the carpet had not been cleaned in awhile as we could see nail clippings, a fake nail and someone's glasses were under the bed when we checked we hadn't left anything behind. Overall our experience didn't leave any sort of impression. We will not be staying again or recommending this place to anyone.

Great location - within walking distance of shops and easy to get to the city. Suitable for the travelling sales person. It also has safe and secure parking. Nice size bedrooms and a great gym. The restaurant for breakfast is always convenient, however the customer service needs some improvement.
