  Helpful and informative is what you want in a Vistors' Centre. This one goes the extra mile and gives you all the added tips you need to make sure you get the most out of every visit. Every time I travel to
  Takaka I buy several postcards - they cost $1 which is 80 cents cheaper than in the nearest postal centre, ie over the hill!

  Golden Bay visitor information Center has alot of relevant brochures for the surrounding area as well as further afield. The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable about what's on offer.
