Rented a really pretty black Toyota Highlander from the Christchurch airport and dropped it off at the Queenstown airport outlet. Drop off experience was second to none - fast inspection process, fast pick-up and drop off at the airport. We were at the outlet and back at the airport in less than 10 minutes! Friendly staff as well. Whole experience was A++.

Our car had the plastic guard hanging off the bottom and was scraping on everything. We took it back and they didn't attempt to fix it and said it would be fine to keep driving. We expect a car to be safe and well maintained. They finally obliged to give us a new car that wasn't falling apart.

Very nice and helpful staff and smooth booking process.
However the vehicle collection process was a little bit messy - there was no line at all when the shuttle bus carries heaps of people into the shop. Some Chinese just rushed into the seat in front of the counter and the staff, not being able to tell apart who came first, served them right away. I wouldn't say it's the problem of the staff, rather the layout of the shop could probably be altered so that there would be a line for customers when they come in.

Great from Start to Finish. When we arrived the bus was waiting for us which took us to the branch which was a quick hop, skip and a jump away. On the way, the driver (can't remember her name) gave us a good hint about a place to book good restaurants for cheap which was invaluable! Picking the car up was so easy, we were in the car within 5 minutes and off. The drop off was simple and the bus was waiting for us to take us back to the terminal.

If you're hiring a car, you MUST go with GO Rentals!

I have rented cars across various cities in New Zealand and all of them have been exceptionally wonderful to deal with, with the exception of this one. We were assisted by a tom Parker, a robotic employee who was not in the spirit of easter Monday. We reserved the car for a day and upon handing over my license he asked for my international driver's license since my license is in French. Thanks Quebec! I told him I had left it at my Airbnb and if he rented us the car I would gladly pick it up and bring it to him. He of course refused. Refused to Provide any option to make it a win win situation. He would rather lose out on business than think outside the box for a minute. I am aware that should the police pull me over I would need it and I am also quite aware that there is a police shortage in queenstown so the chances of me being pulled over by a cop for any other reason than I want him/her to is very unlikely. I explained to him that we just paid 24$ on a one way bus ride to get there and it would be ridiculous for me to pay another 24$ to get to town and then another 24$ to get back. Or cab it for that matter. When I asked to speak to his manager, he advised they weren't in. So we not only didn't rent a car but he also didn't refund our deposit. Just an epic waste of time.

I am glad that I have chosen go rentals this time when we traveled around Queenstown. The staffs were very friendly, and the car was like new and really clean. Everything went well from pick up to drop off. Excellent service I must say. Will recommend to all my friends.

Rented a 4x4 car from Go Rentals New Zealand for 12 day from 5th January 2017. I booked online from Sydney a couple of months earlier and got the car we wanted at good price. I checked other companies at the same time of year and same car and they were much more expensive than Go Rentals. We picked the car up at Christchurch Airport and dropped it back at Queestown Airport. No problem, everything in order. From our very first contact until the end everything was fantastic. Excellent customer service, clear paper work and instructions on how and exactly where to pick up and drop off. Terminal transfers at Airports, no problem. Pleasant, helpful staff, no problems. Car ran perfectly. Would highly recommend Go Rentals.

We absolutely loved our GO Rentals car and the whole booking process was really easy with lots of information prior to our trip. We were lucky enough to arrange an after hours pick up which was great and the car was brand new and really nice to drive. We loved all the additional information like the trip itineraries which were really helpful for planning our trip and the GO Play card meant we got some good discounts on trips we had planned. The staff at the branch were really friendly and overall this was a great experience and a fantastic trip to the South Island.
