Beautiful stop! Wish we had stayed longer
Words not enough to describe the beauty
The second worthwhile quick stop on the way to Milford sound after mirror lakes. Magnificent valley which you may want to stick around in and meditate. WARNING: if you do stick around, wear strong insect repellent! There are a lot of biting sandflies hiding here!!
Stunning valley area with large, open grassland. Perfect for a picnic.
Fantastic scenery to view on way to Hollyford or Milford Sounds and a great place to take a break from riding
Nice place to stop during a long drive with an area with lots of areas to stop briefly in the open field for a stretch and maybe a good photo. Short distance from the knobs flat rest stop too.
Beautiful views on the way to Milford sound. Sometimes a bit crowded.
There are no words to describe what feeling this valley gives you. Like a trailer great trailer for The rest of the trip
At 30 minute drive north of Te Anau, the Eglinton Valley is one of the few road accessible valley in Fiordland National Park. It is well known for 'The Avenue of the Disappearing Mountain' and its wonderful views. The valley has steep rock sides and a flat, golden tussock floor. The view is surreal.
