Bed was comfy . Had a nice welcoming feel in the room. Very cosy. 2nd time I've been there. Will go again when I go visit my mum.

While I have not stayed here, I found the receptionist (Jasmine) to be very rude in her answering of my queries. When she couldn't, she transfered the phone to the manager but with no voicemail option I gave up and phoned back.. the phone kept ringing with no answer until it circled back around to the selection menu. I selected the reception again and it was ringing with no answer until someone answered and immediately hung up (heard the ominous click).. once again, I phoned through and finally got through to the receptionist again and once again she was very rude and ended up hanging up mid conversation. If this is the level of service given for an inquiry, I'd hate to think what the LoS would be when staying there. Needless to say, I will never experience it now.

Good clean quiet hotel, not too expensive either, close to the social kitchen, rated number 1 restaurant in new plymouth. Easy to walk into town too

Perfect place to stay and enjoy while in new Plymouth. Right in cbd easy access plenty of interesting places nearby. Very friendly people. Recommend to all . will come back.

Booking a Copthorne I was expecting a professional, service based hotel. What I got was a hotel where dining room and room service were unavailable as there were not sufficient guests! Staff had to come and fix TV settings. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom well appointed with spa and toiletries, although there was some debris coming through the spa jets. The whole hotel looked tired and rundown, and there was no local information in the guest book. All in all very disappointing, and I will certainly not use them again.

My name is Jimi Jackson. A New Zealand Entertainer, Comedian and currently im travelling NZ performing my "Keeping It Real" tour. We stayed in your Hotel in New Plymouth the night i performed in that city. (Thursday March 17th) As you may have already been aware when my partner first emailed you guys with the complaint. You have not replied to her since you accused her of lying. So now i'm get involved.
You have broken your Terms & Conditions. You have been disrespectful to my partner with the first reply email you sent her after she placed a COMPLAINT. And most importantly you have breached my PRIVACY. I have an online following of over 1million online. 1 of your Hotel Workers was obviously a fan of mine and has taken my left over food and has even wrapped up my soap bar that i used and taken that as well? How about you go through my online social media pages and see the type of Entertainer/Comedian i am and why people follow me. Because i speak the truth. And if i have not seen a reply within 24 hrs with the proper attitude and respect, I will officially be posting this all over my social media and target not only Copthorne New Plymouth but Copthorne directly. Because this disgusting. You will be hearing from my Manager and Lawyer also.
Thanks for the disrespect.
