It's tough to give a star rating to a gas station, but this was a little better than average, 3 stars, based on convenient location and good prices. They take non-pin credit cards unlike the place right by the Bluebridge ferry terminal. But that means they're not open 24 hours a day. The price was fair, better than in most of the South Island. It seemed to be the closest gas station to the road to Anakiwa. It was self-serve. You basically get off the Anakiwa road and turn right at the roundabout to drive down to the port, right by the Bluebridge terminal, and it's a few blocks down, On the left. It would be walkable from downtown, but it's not close. I didn't see other businesses right around it. It seems like the best option for filling up before returning a rental car in picton. The phone number listed is for the auto mechanic shop attached to the gas station, but I can't review those services.
