Great cheap accomidation very friendly child friendly lovely wee town great pizza and fish and chips in town and everthing is so close such as shops and only a 5 minute drive to the beach and about 10-20 minutes other places to see so tidy and feels like you are walking into your own home. Definitely will come back and wish I stayed longer.

Well priced, conveniently located, clean, friendly. Hosts with good local knowledge. Hop, skip and a jump from the beautiful Surrat Bay. Often the haunt of New Zealand Sea Lions.
Within two minutes walk of a pub and three other eateries. Personal favourite? Bake House Takeaways on the main highway, buy a burger or some fish and drive down to the waterfront at Pounawea a few minutes away.response / report this review -

Very nice people running the place and lovely surroundings, especially the sheep nearby. The only downside in my experience, which will not be an issue for couples or singles was that as it was a studio and I was staying with my parents, I had to sleep in the second room as them. Overall though it's a great place which I would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Owaka.
