  Turn up they start saying I booked somewhere else and had to pay an airport tax. I didn't I was careful. Then they charge my card before even telling me what for or how much. Now after the rental is over this still in confusion.
  
  This will be a fight I am sure.
  
  Be very careful with these guys. They try and hit you for any small mark. Take photos. Be very very careful
  
  I ordered a mid size SUV. The thing was tiny. Joke tiny. I have never seen anything so small.
  
  I will never use again
  
  And staff were rude.
  
  You guys are the first point of contact for many visitors to Queenstown and set the tone. Trying being good and friendly. Even in a tourist rich town I think you will increase profits.

  Warning, if you're a tourist, do NOT use Budget. They will charge you after you've left Queenstown for damage to the car even if there's none.
  My workmate who's American had this tried on him. Fortunately he lives in NZ and could fight it much more easily than if he was a tourist and had left the country (in which case it's much more likely to be missed on a Credit Card statement and much harder to fight).
  Not only that, if you fight it and get refunded, they will still send a collection agency on to you many months after it's happened.
  Crooks, through and through.
  UPDATE 8 MONTHS LATER: just been contacted by another person (based in Asia) via Facebook who they've done this to as well. Told them that scratches on the car before renting wouldn't be a problem and on return told them that they're responsible for the scratches and taking them to the cleaners.
  USE THESE CROOKS AT YOUR OWN RISK!
  To our valued tourists, most New Zealanders are honest people, however these people are exceptions.
  FURTHER UPDATE:
  Yet another person has contacted me, they continue to steal from tourists, once they have left Queenstown, they charge their credit card with made up damage charges.

  Fast and friendly service. Moderately priced and quality vehicles. Be sure to check the vehicle before and after use to ensure their are any claims for damage after.
